lol i remember watching crt's... that warm mesmerizing glow. now i dont even watch tv pretty much.

digital code is fine but it should still be housed in a physical synthetic brain.

well targaryens like to burn people. Burn them all ect. Completely mad.

Muslims are like white walkers. Lets be edgy now.

Yup was looking for this comment. WIsh people used fidget spinner to take their mind off things rather than smoke. Even though i'd hate both, fidget spinner wouldn't give me lung cancer. As it goes with a lot of things, people who dont use a certain substance, dont build up an immunity layer against it, so it's much more harmful to someone who doesnt smoke and inhales second hand smoke, than someone whose been smoking for a while.

id wait 2 years for feature length episodes. Even if its just 6 of them. Theyll be the most action packed.

you mean damn near infinite memory.. cuz 2027 is really far away and tech improves at an accelerated rate. Conventional electronics already going to hit the limit by 2020~ and 2027 is like 90's to today.

His truth is a lie hes been told as far as he can remember. Tell a lie long enough and early enough and theyll buy it Kids are sponges. Religious drivel teaching should be banned until a certain age. 15 sounds about fair.

Thats signals between neurons to perform chemical reactions. As for how complex the brain is. If its true that a teaspoon of DNA could hold all the world's data... Brain matter has DNA as well and i doubt memories are stored by just the collective effort of all neurons, since a huge chunk of them can be removed without losing most data. so about 300~ spoons of DNA... thats insane.

Doubt consciousness can be born in a machine that only has electrons to work with. Would need chemical reactions and life within life. To be perfectly fair about half of our body doesnt belong to us. And if were to stretch that, nothing but our mind is really ours. So a machine would need cold parts and chemical reactions to even have a chance at housing consciousness. Software simulated brain is far fetched. Consciousness imitated with laborious coding effort is possible but it wouldnt be the real thing. Thing is about the brain you can remove half of it and a person would be perfectly functional. The other side of the brain would pick up the slack. So it cant be as simple as a bunch of neurons on this side of the brain house some memories thats just too simple and orderly... oh no. its well documented that if you remove half the brain you retain all or most memories which can only mean that every single part of your brain has the same memory data. Its all the same. For exact same reason a small brain isnt that different from a big animal brain. I think it has to do with redundancies and storage space. Elephants are huge. Their oldest matriarchs remember a watering hole they visited since their childhood. Which could imply that a bigger brain can store more memories without forgetting them. Dogs have a relatively small brain depending on breed. They can remember a number of commands but only up to a point. If you teach way too many, theyll forget some of them.THE consciousness is more complex than the brain it resides in. To a machine theres hardware layer. Then software. Not even close to the complexity of a body and its functions.

adblock with umatrix and ghostery.

always was but the cpus really kick in the single core perf. Its just that things are moving into multi core... Plus somehow ryzen has lower power consumption. It is slower in certain scenarios but im sure they did that on purpose to have lower power req.

Well maybe a new hiree is making some calls and linus is going places lol...mean he has a huge viewership so that should open doors.

Its never been a problem of energy production but storing it. Pumping water into a reservoir then releasing it over a dam to spin generators is one way but storing sun/wind in huge capacity and long term is what we need. batteries have to get cheap.

the point is to go to renewable energy that scales. Bio has limits while solar is infinite. People always downplayed musk. Fossil fuel agenda or just people mad they aint musk ect.

Youre being way too stingy. Tech improvement is almost exponential. So todays supercomputer will indeed be your average home computer in 25~ years. and in 50 a smartphone will make it look like a calculator.

my yt backround is black so fail on that one. Linus team won in my book.

This is redundant tech. Get an ssd.
